Philip Zimbardo

132. Mar. 2: I watched two John Woo films in one day.

We had just started our John Woo unit in Film Studies and we started The Killer, and then when I got home later, I was watching Bravo, and Windtalkers was on, which is also John Woo, so I was like whoa, I should totally watch this. I don't like Windtalkers as much as The Killer. He is much better with his Hong Kong cinema for sure. You can get away with a certain level of cheesiness, that you can't get away with in Hollywood.

My favorite part in The Killer is when Chow Yun Fat is shooting someone, then turns to his friend and smiles, while he's got the bandage on his face and all.
