88. Jan. 9: I went to a literary event. a.k.a an author reading.
It was at The Loft, which is ultra hip, I felt out of place, because I was for sure lacking the hipness. It was for Dobby Gibson, who is a poet. Not a house elf. Although he looked rather elvish, but in the way Orlando Bloom looks elvish, but he didn't look like Orlando Bloom....I digress. It was really cool, and his poems were just kind of about everyday life. He had a great way of putting into words exactly what you feel about everything. He even had a poem, I can't remember the exact name, but he got the title from the name of a subcategory on KISS's Wikipedia page. Which is TOTALLY the kind of thing I do for my blog posts. Just to clear things up, that's why most of them are obscure and completely irrelevant. But anyways, very hip. I should mention though, even though I don't want to, that for my CIS Lit. class I'm required to write an essay on a literary event, so this wasn't my own idea, but I still would have done it, had I not been required.
I heard something interesting on the radio this morning (not this morning, but friday's morning, the day you're reading about) that Anne Hathaway's New Years Resolution is to DO SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY. Holla. Even though there's not way I can justifiably say that she stole my idea, I feel like people are going to compare me to her, so the pressure's on like mad. I've got some good things coming up, but I want people to realize that I want to space out the cooler, more interesting things, because- little known fact -there are 365 days in a year. That's a lot of new things. Just...sayin.....
