87. Jan. 8: I went to a CIS Field day at the U.
Eh. It was boring. It pulled me out of class for the second day in a row, but as luck would have it, I had to come back to school for production. Yay Southerner......
But amazing story, while I was working on said newspaper, Chris, Abby, and Jane came up to the office and had a letter for me from Mark Hoonsbeen (who is the most hilarious and novel character to ever hit the world of Econ). It basically said all this stuff about how we did a great job at the Econ Rodeo (Which I forgot to mention, we swept completely because we know our stuff) the day before, and I was so amazed and hilariated (haven't used that one in awhile) that I didn't notice how incredibly fishy it was. Which it was, because it was fake. Even after I freaked out in front of all the editors, and professed how flattering and hilarious I found the whole thing, when I found out it was fake, it was even funnier, because I think I was SO stupid for falling for that. Honestly, even a fool would have never believed it. Oh well, lapse in judgement. Chris is just a great prankster. I even thought about it a couple times later that night and had to stifle laughter because I just can't stand how funny it is. But it's kind of one of those you'd have to be on Quiz Bowl to think it's super funny. I see this becoming a golden inside joke.
